Following our AGM last month, MACC has elected Tom Millar as their new chairman to drive forward future development of the company. Southend man, Tom, has taken over the role from Ian Wardrop, who served as MACC’s chair since it was established in March 2008.

Also a director at local construction company McFadyens Contractors, Tom has been involved with MACC since the early days and is passionate about building a sustainable future for the local community.

He said: ‘I am delighted to take on the role of chairman. Ian has done an outstanding job in steering us to where we are today and I hope to follow suit in pushing forward the various exciting projects that are on our horizons.’

Ian, who is taking a step back after 4 years as group Chairman, will continue to be an asset to MACC, remaining on the board of directors for another term. As the former Works Service Manager, Ian’s knowledge of the site’s buildings and infrastructure is invaluable.

MACC also welcomes four new Directors following a ballot that took place during the AGM. Morna Paterson, Archie McFadyen, Niall Macalister Hall and Andrew Ronald were elected to join the board of volunteer directors who act on behalf of those living within the PA28 6 postcode area.
