MACC received the valuation on midday Wednesday 28th April. The airbase has been valued at £1.
The valuers report stated that in reaching the valuation " we have assumed a willing purchaser who has a longer term view for redevelopment and who is prepared to act conscientiously with regard to the existing obligations to third parties who rely upon services originating from this site, together with fulfilling all legal obligations."
MACC is preparing an outline business plan which will be available for the community to see in the near future. The next stage is to have a Community Ballot and voting papers will be sent to all eligible voters in the PA28 6 area around the 13th of May with a deadline for return of voting papers of 24th May. We need a turnout of at least 50% of the voters in PA28 6 and of those over 50% must vote in favour of the community's bid to buy the base for £1.
